The Living are possessed of life. They are creatures of positive energy. They are animate. They are defined by their capacities and incapacities. They are not gods who many do as they wish. The Living who are mortals are destined to die and join the Dead. The Living who are unfortunate will pass over into the ranks of the Undead, either via being dead for a time or via a direct transition from life to undeath.
