{[canon}} Baron Metus is the vampire arch-enemy of Rudolph van Richten. Once in love with Andrianna on another world, he became trapped in Ravenloft, settling in Darkon. He turned Erasmus van Richten into a vampire companion, and when the boy's father, Rudolph, slew him in mercy, Metus killed Ingrid van Richten in revenge. He was destroyed by Rudolph van Richten, but later revived by Madame Irena Radanavich. He resides in The Black Tower in Martira Bay.[1]
