Tallwich (also known as the Giant of Nartok is a voadkyn (wood giant) Shaman and an outlander drawn into the Mists. He resides in the Forest of Shadows near Nartok. He is depressed that he can't fulfill his duties to his tribe and confused about where he is- he knows not the languages of Darkon or any of the other domains. He also believes that the spirits of his homeland have abandoned him because he can no longer contact them, though he has made pacts with some local nature spirits- troublesome and disturbing compared to those of his outlander world.[1]
Tallwich remains a hermit and a loner, only moving from the shadows to help or heal someone dearly in need, such as the hunter Coby Daedin, from whom the first mention of the Giant of Nartok legend originates from.[2]
Given Tallwich's presence in the Forest of Shadows, he may run afoul of Galf Cloggin (or vice verse].[3]
