Dr. Alphonse Von Henkel is a retired vampire hunter who wrote about his encounter with the vampire Katarina (Vampire) in his memoirs. On the hunt for the vampire named Vicount Resten, von Henkel was knocked unconscious. He later woke up to find the other vampires destroyed and Katarina comforting his dying friend and ally Jonathan before he died. In either of their confrontations, Dr. von Henkel could not bring himself to strike at Katarina.
