Nosferatu are a strain of vampire that are somewhat weaker than their typical brethren, but by no means a pushover. Their attacks and weaknesses are much the same as other vampires, including requiring to rest in a coffin daily with at least a handful of soil from their original grave.[1][2][3] Unusually for a vampire, the Nosferatu can walk about in daylight without fear of immediate destruction, though they do lose the use of their supernatural special abilities during this time.
Although Nosferatu cannot afflict victims with energy drain, they drain (and feed upon) blood as per a normal vampire, inflicting a charm effect in addition to the normal Constitution damage. Unlike standard vampires, Nosferatu are able to subsist on animal blood for a time, but not as a permanent replacement for humanoid blood. Living off of animal blood lives a Nosferatu in a weakened state.
