Rega lead the inquistion of the Church of Zhakata as the Scourge of the Temple. As a supposed double agent he organised the conpiracy known as the Circle of Darkness. In truth this was done in the service not of Yagno Petrovna but rather of his own cause. He seeks to remove his leader and rule the land. He knows is awae of the falsity as the heart of the Church of Zhakata, and consequently worships not Zhakata but rather the religious trappings and tenants from which power is distilled. A number of Rega's schemes involve a dissident guise of Madar.[1]
Rega is known to the people of the Mongrelman Camp as "Malar".[2] (Not to be confused with the deity Malar)
