Malcolm Scott

One of the current Umbra, Malcolm Scottmater is powerful within the organization yet does not openly challenge the leadership of Count Wilhelm von Lovenhurtst and Lord Balfour de Casteele. He prefers to manipulate things covertly.

Malcolm Scott is actually one of the Scottmatter Family, or rather a distant branch of it that was saved from Lord Sithington Gray by a fir. Malcolm's ancestor, Brian Scottmatter, was a keen craftsman that had earned the fir's respect. After being saved, Brian relocated to northeastern Mordent and renamed his offspring the Scotts. Malcolm is the last known person of his bloodline; he has no heirs.

Malcolm enjoys using enchantment, illusion, and even nonmagical hypnosis to manipulate and deceive (particularly by altering the senses. In fact, he takes it to a scholarly level of study. Following fir influence, he is also a craftsman and gets quite perked up by well-crafted objects.

Although lazy enough to rarely leave his estate, Malcolm engages in regular correspondence with the other Fraternity brothers as well as other people of interest within the Core. His correspondence is not merely of a friendly or academic nature; rather he uses these to further his evil schemes.
