Blaine Clairn

A character from the Death of a Darklord novel, Blaine Clairn was the twin brother of Elaine Clairn and the adopted child of Jonathan Ambrose and Tereza Ambrose. He was a mage-finder, partnered with Thordin and receiving orders from Jonathan.

Background

Like his sister, Blaine had preternatural talents inexplicable by normal human capabilities. However, he was not a mage; his abilities were more of a sensitivity to the land and attunement with nature. He could also sense the life force of beings, or at least unnatural beings such as ghosts. He may have been a ranger with some psychic abilities.

During the Zombie Plague of Cortton, Blaine was killed by zombies while trying to make sure Elain got away safely. Marland Ashe attempted to corrupt Elaine by forcing her to resurrect her deceased brother, but she resisted his attempts
