Vaesen Foothills

The Vaesen Foothills are the footills of the Balinoks from vanished Malkovia. They are rugged and wooded save for a gap south of the Borchava River. Their southern half, beyond the gap, is covered by the Dyrskov ("Beastwood"). The Borchava and Little Borchava each rushes down out of these foothills from its phantom headwaters in the vanished land of Markovia. To the south, the Vaesen Foothills share the evil reputation of the Dyrskov ("Beastwood"). And their proximity to the Shadow Rift is no boon to their reputation either.
