Lumley House has fallen into the possession of the Automatic Man, a formerly mobile mechanical golem that overcame near destruction and crippling damage through the reconstitution of its being within the technologically advanced infrastructure of the house. Although it might be possible to burn down the house with destroying the machine, and although it is possible to destroy the machine without destroying the house, the Automatic Man and Lumley House can easily be mistaken for having become one and the same.
