"Aphrodite" is one of the Living Gods and formerly one of the Seven Voices of the Gods. She was the one who devised the plot to defame "Hercules" by sending Dejanira to manipulate him into desecrating the Temple of Zeus.[1](For general information common to all of the Seven Voices and Living Gods, see their respective Mistipedia articles and the primary source material in the Olympus netbook article in the Undead Sea Scrolls 2002.)

History

As the high priestess of Aphrodite in her homeland on the Material Plane, the Voice of Aphrodite oversaw a clergy tasked with arranging political marriages to facilitate cooperation between powerful interests in her home society. The clergy also organized wild celebrations of debauchery for the purposes of blackmail and manipulation.[2]. As a mortal, she was a small-minded manipulator and seducer that turned her allies against each order to prevent them from betraying her[3].

When the Seven Voices of the Gods met to conspire against the rebel leader known by the public as "Hercules", the Voice of Aphrodite suggested they use one of her agents to seduce the man and manipulate him into having sex with him at the Temple of Zeus, thereby "proving" his disloyalty to the gods through an act of desecration and sacrilege[4]. Unfortunately for the Voice of Aphrodite and her co-conspirators, that agent, named Dejanira, eventually fell in love with the debonair rebel leader and let him known of the various conspiracies against him.[5] After slaughtering the soldiers of the Voice of Ares, the rebel Hercules interrupted a fiend summoning ritual performed by the Seven Voices and thereby caused an explosion that cast everyone present into the Demiplane of Dread[6].

Current Sketch

Now recognized as the living incarnation of the goddess she once presumed to speak for, the imposter Aphrodite ruls one of the six kingdoms of the domain of Olympus. Her citystate, Erostown, sits on the farthest eastern edge of Olympus' central landmass. the area is filled with a preternatural euphoria that nonetheless does not represent a true happiness among her people[7]. As person, Aphrodite demonstrates a highly unpredictable and tempestuous disposition. She lives as a hedonist driven to experience ever more wild and extreme moments of passion, a goal she is not afraid of using her powers to enact[3].

Aphordite's appearance is quite striking, marked by her superhuman, youthful beauty, lustrous gold (formerly black) hair, and emotive blue (formerly brown) eyes[3].

Aura[3]

Aphordite's aura instills a considerable morale bonus to her allies in combat, particularly those acting as her protectors.

Gaze[3]

Aphrodite‘s gaze attack functions like that of a vampire.
