"Apollo" is one of the Living Gods and formerly one of the Seven Voices of the Gods.[1]For general information common to all of the Seven Voices and Living Gods, see their respective Mistipedia articles and the Olympus netbook article in the Undead Sea Scrolls 2002.)

History

As the high priest of Apollo in the Voice's homeland on the Material Plane, the Voice of Apollo commanded a clergy responsible for organizing festivals and maintaining the arts. They also acted as advisers and counselors for hire, holding supposed divinations to show the path for the future[2]. In reality, all of Apollo's supposed oracles were frauds and charlatans and acted as a network of spies for the Voice of Apollo[3]. Even the clergy's patronage of the arts served a sinister purpose: to suppress anything that might disrupt the existing power structures[2].

Current Sketch

Now recognized as the living incarnation of the god he once presumed to speak for, the imposter Apollo rules one of the six kingdoms of the Olympus domain. His city state, Sunvalley, sits on the farthest east part of the domain's central landmass, even farther east than Athenaeum.[4]. To control his people, Apollo has fostered a cult of personality. Seen as a benevolent god, he frequently but unpredictably shows up in public spaces to make extravagant demonstrations and performances. On occasion, he demonstrates his fantastical magical powers by obliterating traitors and rebels in order to demoralize those would would transgress his rule[5].

Apollo now has a true group of seers and diviners at his beck and call, to which contribute to his god-like appearance of omniscience[3], along with his own talents in divination[5]. Yet Apollo's talents at manipulation are such that he can often glean information without resorting to magic[3].

Aura[3]

Apollo's aura makes him seem larger than life, instilling a penalty on attack rolls made against him.

Gaze[3]

Apollo‘s gaze attack can cause his enemies to relive all the pain of their past life as burning fire.
