A Primer to the Umbra Peoples

A Primer to the Umbra Peoples is an article from Quoth the Raven Issue 28. It attempts to offer a more "dark fantasy" and "less humanocentric" approach to Ravenloft campaigns by offering a variety of monstrous player character racial options, all based on traditional Ravenloft monsters. The lore of these races is heavily retconned from their traditional depictions. It overtly references two articles from earlier issues; Brutes and Banshees from Quoth the Raven Issue 08, and Races of the Mists: Paka from Quoth the Raven Issue 19, as well as the article The Making of Men from the Book of Souls.
