Founded by Alexander the Great in 322 B.C.E. formerly held the Great Library of Alexandria where members of the Defiance met for over a hundred years. However, the Great Library was burned to the ground after Cyril led an unruly mob to put torch to it. With it, most of the Defiance were murdered as well.[1]

Some say the ruins of ancient Alexandria beneath the streets of its modern successor hold numerous treasures. This are said to include texts saved from the Great Library. However, the threat corruption looms behind any possible discoveries one might find.[2]

Alexandria, like the rest of 1890s Egypt, currently suffer domination by the British.[2]
