Ark is the darklord of Arkson. A corrupted priest of Moradin originally from Cormyr, Ark was transformed by the Dark Powers into a horrible abomination for atrocities committed in the pursuit of a stolen artifact holy to his faith, the Soulforger. Such atrocities include the murder of his best friend and adventuring compatriot, Crono Beulf.[1]

Horrible to look at, Ark is a dwarf-sized minotaur abomination riveted with green scales. Two horns jut out of his head, and a vorporal sword has been grafted in place of his arm.[2]

When Ark first entered his domain in 731 BC, he found he was alone. Since 748 BC, he has been able to draw in greedy dwarves to populate his domain at the rate of 3 per week. In 750 BC, he met Malek, whom he has learned to make Ark-Kin with.[3]

Ark is cursed to forever seek the Soulforger, but everytime he clutches it, he dies a horrible death. And yet this death is no release, for he rises again anew 2d10 days later.[3] Note that Ark as never updated to 3rd Edition, so any creature types below are speculative.
