Beheaded: Collected Tales is a book that Jacqueline Montarri is writing in her spare time. Her decades old quest to find her lost head has brought her into contact with some of the most remarkable accounts of beheadings and similar such fates. Eventually, she decide to set the best of these to paper. She finds the work extreme therapeutic and she has started collecting the heads of writers to help her in the task. Currently, she considers the work to be less than half complete.

Excerpt

When the mane of disheveled hair broke the crest of the ridge we were overcome with joy. Roya had returned to us. The badlands had not claimed another victim. And in the moment afterward we knew the perfect antepode of that emotion, for worse even than the eight legs that bore her head towards us, was the twisted, hungry expression branded upon that formerly cherubic face.

Authorship

Beheaded: Collected Tales was created by cure as part of a contribution to John W. Mangrum's Teeny Tiny Tales of Terror project (posted on the Fraternity of Shadows message board).
