Cassandre Desesprits

Cassandre Desesprits is the darklord of Miseria but virtually unknown there save as an innocent barmaid. In her home on an outlander world, Cassandre was known and revered as a seer. She used her gift of foresight to manipulate and receive the greatest finery her land had to offer. She went so far as to use her abilities to instigate and prolong wars, finding the best possible outcomes only for her. After one of her schemes ended in a magic explosion that knocked her unconscious, she awoke as the darklord of Miseria.

In Miseria, Cassandre has gained great power and influence over the undead and may summon and control them at will. However, she has lost the ability to see several possible futures and manipulate events so that the one she chooses becomes true. Instead, each of Cassandre's prediction gives her but one future that always occurs. Furthermore, she despises people treating her with altruism instead of treating her like royalty as she cannot see altruism in them. Ironic for her skills as a seer, she can only see evil in the hearts of others.
