Described in Curse of Strahd, an amber sarcophagus holds the essence of a vestige, allowing a user to touch it and commune telepathically with that vestige. The vestige offers a dark gift to the person touching the sarcophagus. Several are held in the Amber Temple. For more details, see Curse of Strahd p. 191
