L'Ordures ("The Refuse") is a group of mostly nonviolent agitators from the Dementlieuse lower classes. They seek to strike back against the nobility through methods that cause disgrace and humiliation rather than physical harm. Tactics have included vandalism and other petty acts of mischief such as poisoning food with sedatives or other nonharmful but annoying chemicals.^[1]

Serge Lamond, the leader of L'Ordures, works to keep the antics of the group nonviolent, but hidden influence from the Living Brain may turn the group's tactics a shade more ruthless soon.^[1]
