The Twilight Bear^[1] is a type of bear that has been warped by the Dark Powers, though the reasons why or specifics how this happened are unknown. The feel influence of the Dark Powers have made these bears sentient but malevolent in nature. They are akin in appearance to normal grizzly bears but have a notable pair of wings. These wings are made entirely of shadow.

Although their natures would seem to preclude the twilight bears from nonhostile interactions with [[[human]]s, this does not appear to be the case. Twilight bears appear to value, even covet, magic items. As such, rumors speak of agents within human society to act on the behalf of twilight bears. At least one woodsman has given up his axe to become a priest serving their interests, or so he at least claims. Note that the twilight bear never updated to 3.x Edition, so the creature types assigned below are speculative.
