Cerlimieu

Cerlimieu is a village of some 800 people in eastern Dementlieu, which sits alongside the Musarde River. A ghost known as the Wicked Man in the Woods is known to inhabit some nearby ruins. An evil doppelganger, Rhelmus Orbthright, has sewn fear of the ghost in the populace in order to create a scapegoat for the doppelganger's own murders of threats to its power. To this end, Orbthright leaves his deceased victims in the ruins haunted by the Wicked Man. Orbthright hopes to pave the way for more doppelgangers to infiltrate the town and ultimately seize control of it as a stepping stone to seize control over all of Dementlieu.

Recently, a group of Vistani arrived in Cerlimieu. Fearing the Vistani gift of the Sight, Orbthright murdered two of their number, Markov and Varisha, but he may have ultimately gotten the attention of adventuring ghost hunters drawn in by the murders.
