Corwin was a priest who accompanied Dr. Van Richten on a vampire hunt near Lake Kronov in Tepest. Before they reached their primary target, they ran into a mummified warrior who was apparently enslaved by the vampire. Corwin's turning let the mummy break free of the vampire's control and turn on its master.[1]
