Devil's Garden

The Devil's Garden is a fiendish ecosystem established by Khyristrix in Castle Ravenloft over several tens of years after she made a pact with Strahd. The Garden is currently composed of 60 devil's trees, which are created from humanoids that have killed while serving as hosts for garden larva. Garden larva are immature devil trees but require humanoid hosts to fully mature. The trees in turn bear garden larva as "fruit".

The trees ultimately power the Dayheart to Strahd's benefit and provide Khyristrix' psychic bond with it. The larva give off blue secretions that are not dangerous and have give a small amount of nutrition. These secretions gather in a couple of pools throughout the garden.
