Notes

This is an epic adventure where the barriers between worlds are shattered, preparing the ground for 3rd edition D&D changes. While this adventure isn't under the "Ravenloft" banner, a 'large' third of this adventure is located in the Cavitius domain of Ravenloft. It starts in Greyhawk (Tovag Baragu area), then proceeds to Ravenloft, and then to Sigil, Planescape's City of Doors.

Errata

  • Any cultist assigned a "good" alignment should actually have the corresponding "evil" alignment!
  • On page 85, the room in the uppermost right corner of the Third Level should be labeled 42.
  • On page 90, the room in the uppermost right corner of the Third Level should be labeled 42.

The Fate of the Burning Peaks

Following Vecna's escape, it would seem that the Burning Peaks cluster would be destroyed, although this has never been explicitly spelled out for all certainty. 3rd Edition Ravenloft sources hint at the destruction of the entire cluster with the mention of seers speak of seers seeing "a remote cluster, a land said to have been locked in eternal warfare, had been destroyed by forces unknown."[1] In Dragon Magazine #341, Kas, the darklord of the other domain of the Burning Beaks, is given as a vestige for the binder class, indicating that he exists only as a spirit trapped outside of reality. But in Open Grave: Secrets of the Undead, Kas is given 4th Edition stats as a normal "unliving" vampire. More recently, "Traders in Gloomwrought claim that Kas now rules a kingdom of vampires somewhere in the Shadowfell."[2]
