Gladys the Snow Queen

Gladys, the Snow Queen and Balthos, the Fire King are husband and wife united only in being co-darklords of a domain. They hold venomous hatred for each other, and their animosity brought disaster to their kingdom. Once human, they were transformed according to their savage natures. Gladys, cold and haughty, became a frostwind virago (see the 3.5 Monster Manual V), whereas Balthos, consumed by fiery desires, became a fire giant. Each rules half of the domain steeped in climate that reflects their nature and are barred from entering the opposite's region of control. They constantly seek for ways to undo the other's contrary nature.
