The Godwyn Family are the political rulers of Vultharesk. The first leader of their ancestors to to come to the village was Sir Trevor Godwyn, with an extended household of relatives and servants upwards of 200. He was appointed by an empire that was then in on a role in conquering one land after another. Since the beginning, the Godwyns have maintained a tight grip on what is and what isn't allowable behavior on the natives of Vultharesk, though the reason why they behave so puritanically has more to do with the Mirror Man's watchful eye than any punishment imposed upon them from the Godwyn family. The Godwyns dismiss the Mirror Man as superstition, for he never appears nor bothers them. The current leader of the Godwyn family (and thus of Vultharesk) is Sir Ambrose Godwyn.^[1]
