Hakaan na Uruk

Hakaan na Uruk is the darklord of Saarkaath and temporal ruler of its underground. Rejected by the knightly order of the Storm Templars simply because of his orc heritage, Hakaan went on to become a mercenary only to meet up with the Storm Templars again in a war against hobgoblin forces. They were to fight the hobgoblin hordes together, but the Storm Templars refused him entry to war discussions. As revenge for these slights, Hakaan betrayed the Storm Templars at a key moment in the war against the hobgoblins by switching sides, allowing the Templars to be decimated. And yet he again he eventually fell out with the hobgoblin forces and betrayed them. However, they suspected his treachery and were prepared, managing to route Hakaan's army. As Hakaan's army fled, the mists rose up around them and brought them to Saarkath.

Hakaan is unable to find his way out of this stretch of forested mountains and reclaim his revenge. The Dark Powers have cursed him with more orcish features, denying him his wish to become more fully human.
