Hister is the father of Sheneya. He is an intelligent, shape-shifting snake that works for the Grand Snakemaster and is (ultimately) responsible for the deaths of Jandi and Alleya. Concealing his true nature, he tempted them the arts of snake charming in return for letting him sire his child with her. with with the birth of Sheneya, Alleya became poisoned and died. Jandi was convicted of her murder and executed, leaving Sheneya to be raised by Hister. He later recruited her into the service of the Snakemaster[1]
