Hurrek is a stone giant and a ghost that haunts the Temple of Athena. Despite being a ghost himself, Hurrek has become possessed by the ghost of Acchalus, the man he once slew.[1]

In life, Hurrek was an outlander who hailed from the world of Bacchar, a world where at least several of the Greek Pantheon held influence. Hurrek was a part of a band of raiders dedicated to Ares. They struck Athena's temple. Among those to die was Acchalus, the captain of the guard for the temple. He arose as a ghost but would not have his revenge until much later. After the Mists had captured the temple and its raiders, the brigands began falling to the forces in the neighboring domains around the temple. Hurrek withdrew and hid until he was captured, tortured, and murdered by a particularly vile tyrant. Hurrek's ghost, now bound to the temple he had profaned long ago, began to examine its holy texts. With the inspiration he gleaned form them, he began to repent his earlier ways. However, Acchalus finally took possession of him and uses him to guard the Temple of Athena.[1]
