Ivan D'Ogmai serves as the plot hook to the Servants of Darkness module. He is the one to request the assistance of PCs to save his lover Bryonna, for she has been falsely accused of being a witch and consorting with the fey.[1]
A traveling Darkonian merchant[2], Ivan D'Ogmai is a suitor of Bryonna as her former best friend, Lorelei, was once his suitor. Jealous, Lorelei attempted to manipulate him into believing Bryonna had bewitched him. Ivan refused to believe her. After Bryonna was convicted of being a witch[3], Ivan became a criminal for a time after trying to free Bryonna.[4] Fortunately, they were later exonerated with the discovery of Lorelei's treacherous conspiracy with a boowray.[5]
After the endeavor, Ivan and Bryonna married.
Ivan is knowledgeable of many subjects in the Land of Mists. His role as an advisor could be useful to any adventuring party.[6]
