In Curse of Strahd, Jakarion was a wizard and the former master and mentor of Vilnius. Jakarion led them to the Amber Temple, only to perish to the guards there, leaving his former student trapped in the temple (Area X9). Jakarion's remains and treasure are in Area X17[1]
