Karath

Karath is a intrigue-filled mage city sitting upon a large chunk of floating rock surrounded by constant storm clouds. Karath is located in the unnamed domain belong to Mansor. The grounddwellers of the land beneath Karath supply it with resources (both food and thrall) though the grounddwellers themselves live in wretched conditions where they struggle to scavenge enough food for them to live.

Though evil magic users from many outlander worlds reside in the city, Mansor and his Duuk-Tsarith legbreakers (as well as the city itself) hail from the outlander world of Thimhallan (of the Darksword novels. Unlike many locations in te Demiplane of Dread, Karath is a place of high magic, even to the point that magic is essentially interwoven with daily life in the city. Yet the place is dangerous because of the frequent turf wars and intrigue between the various spellcasters of this magocracy.
