Monette's crew mutinies, but he swears revenge

On some outlander world, Alain Monette was the cruel and merciless captain of the ship Ouragan. His crew eventually mutinied, flogging and keelhauling him before setting him adrift on a raft. Near death, Monette sword vengeance as his raft drifted into the Mists and ultimately crashed inside a sea cave. There, bats drank his blood, and yet in turn he feasted upon them. Somehow through this process he transformed into a werebat, becoming the darklord of the very tiny domain of L'île de la Tempête. The year was 677 BC.
