Mukhtar el Wafid

Mukhtar el Wafid is the tyrannical leader of a pack of werejackals that lord over the oasis of Tawiel Akhdar and the surrounding community.

Background

Muktar el Wafid was a Pharazian nomad and keen manipulator. However, his luck ran out after he was mauled by a pack of jackals led by Abbas ibn Naddim and abandoned, thought deceased. However, he was discovered by a healer named Johara bint Kalila al Asima and taken back, nursed to health. But Muktar's malevolent nature asserted itself, and he infected her with lycanthropy and made her his thrall and first wife. Mukhtar enslaved and forced many others to join his pack, including many more wives. He eventually conquered the oasis, but had to cut back on his villainy such that it could gain a good reputation once again. Now he puts on a generous facade, but is still the jackal-in-sheep's-clothing.
