Mulger D'Ajust

Mulger D'Ajust is a hulzurdan ("dwarven vampire") obsessed with the arcane. He was an outlander who became a vampire thrall to a Kargat agent immediately after entering the Land of Mists. The hulzurdan managed to throw off the shackles of his enslavement through his research and thereby won the respect of Azalin who now considers him to be an ally (or nearly so) and treats with him fairly. In return, Azalin has won the loyalty (or at least the calculating respect) of the hulzurdan. The creature was last known to be mining anthodite crystals from the northern flank of Mount Nirka as per an agreement struck with the lord of Darkon in 750 BC prior to the Requiem.

As of 750 BC the creature was still a fledgling vampire (based on his 2nd edition XP value), implying that his entry into the Land of Mists was not before 649 BC at the very earliest. Given the nature of his relationship with Azalin, he has probably been in the Land of Mists not less than 5 years. As of 764 BC he may already have become a mature vampire or he will become one by 845 BC at the latest.

Under 2nd edition rules the high magic resistance of dwarven vampires prevented them from using magical items. Under 3rd edition rules this magic resistance only impacts a dwarven spellcaster's chance of successfully casting his or her own spells. So under current rules Mulger D'Ajust should be assumed to make use of magical items.
