Narcis deVeyrines is an experienced sewer explorer and wererat hunter in Pont-a-Museau. She has an excellent reputation in her field and was hired by "S" as her guide to Pont-a-Museau's sewers.[1]

Narcis deVeyrines (noted as "N. deV.") is mentioned in the notes of Nathaneal Dent. She was present when an invisible giant assassin beetle killed Powellers, a fellow sewer explorer. While she was unable to identify the creature, she did note the similarity to the feeding of certain beetles. DeVeyrines appears to be part of a loose association of like-minded grimetrekkers and similar sewer explorers.[3]
