Pavel Cherensky is a minor NPC and antagonist from the module Dark of the Moon. He runs his alehouse in the village of Vorostokov and operates a spy for the Boyarsky.

Biography

Pavel ran his tavern for years before unnatural winter overtook Vorostokov. He was formerly a frequent brewer of vodka and beer, but lack of resources have demanded he turned his efforts to other avenues, such as farming. His alehouse became more of a social meeting place, teahouse, and even town hall. Following the formation of the Boyarsky, Pavel became a sycophant and toady of Gregor Zolnik. Anything said in his tavern may be told by Pavel to Zolnik, especially conspiracies or plans against him.[1]

Pavel is married to Katya Cherensky, who nags him unceasingly, especially about his plans to marry off their twin daughters to members of the Boyarsky.[2]

In Dark of the Moon

Pavel serves as a spy (though a completely amateur one) for Gregor and the Boyarsky, telling the darklord of anything he hears about or from the player characters unless somehow foiled. Moreover, Pavel may even follow them covertly, though he is not very subtle and may be easily caught. He is a coward and a liar and seeks to save his own neck above everything else.[3]
