Silessa

Known as the Snake Mistress in her current role in Carnival, Silessa is a pseudo-familiar sithican asp that had been transformed into a beautiful elf by the wizard Sarlandril using the spell create faux henchment, cast from a scroll. Subsequently, she fled his company and took shelter with the Carnival. At some point Sarlandril came to the Carnival to take his revenge on Silessa. He undid the magic that made her and she was reduced once more, at very least in form, to a Sithican asp. Isolde intervened, however, and through a masterful slackening of her hold over the Twisting, restored Silessa to an elven form.

Silessa and her master were former associates of Tindal before the later joined Carnival and camapaigned for Carnival's trip to Sithicus. Silessa has shown wariness toward Tindal, though Tindal interprets this as a reluctance due to his inaction at freeing Silessa previously. In truth, it is because she knows that Tindal is not the person that formerly associated with Sarlandril. In the mean time, Sarlandril is out there still looking to regain his dread familiar.
