The Book of Malevaous is a tome on the occult from ancient Persia. It details various fiends and the ways to bind them. The book was discovered at Oxford by Professor Arthur Mordred Nesmith. In the book, Nesmith found a depiction of a hidden underground temple holding the creations of a Zoroastrian priest who perished fighting the battle against the forces of darkness. Nesmith eventually found the temple, and inside he discovered a phylactery contained the bound fiend Alcanthana.[1]
