The being known only as the Mimic rules over a domain that appears to be merely an abandoned ghost town but is in fact infested with mimics and animators. The Mimic was once akin to its kind but tried to ascend to a humanoid shape. The processed failed in a spectacular fashion, as it assumed the form of a fleshy abomination of tentacles and humanoid torsos (as detailed in Pathfinder's Dungeon Denizens Revisited. [1]
