Toben the Many

The namesake for the Toben Zombies that make up his many bodies, Toben the Many exists is an undead being that exists in no central body yet is a single individual in personality. Toben infects the Living with a dread and supernatural disease known as grinning sickness. Those slain by the disease rise again as new Toben zombies imprinted with his mind and persona. As one might expect, they are all linked via the Hive of Bodies special ability.

Toben has "lived" for hundred of years, such that he has been driven mad. His personality is one of playful malice but great intelligence and patience. Through centuries of unlife, he has taken to crafting elaborate schemes that are played over long time spans, all in the effort for some fun to alleviate his crushing boredom. Also an extremely long-lived being, Alanik Ray has managed to pierce the veil surrounding several of Toben's schemes. In so doing, Alanik Ray has earned Toben's hatred. In addition, Toben fears only two things: Azalin Rex and the Vistani. Most other beings he feels a smug superiority to, preferring to harangue and madden his foes more than destroy them.
