Muryankin are changelings that are created by, and therefore take after, the Muryan. The muryankin are created for battle and war.[1][2] Able to kill each other without breaking the Law of Arak, the muryankin enable the Arak to wage proxy battles against each other's forces.[3] Muryankin also act to defend the Arak and their interests in the Shadow Rift[1] and also to accompany Arak as guards on excursions into other domains[1].
Although muryankin are skilled with all simple and martial weapons, muryankin usually prefer to use longswords and spears[2]. In combat, they can fly into berserker rages like that of a barbarian.[1][2]
Muryankin usually gain levels in barbarian or fighter in preference to other character classes.[2]
