A corpse rat swarm is, like the bone rat swarm, the reanimated remains of a swarm of rats. Instead of being skeletal, corpse rat swarms have their flesh still extant, if rotting, much like zombies. (However, corpse rat swarms do not have the staggered special quality of zombies. Corpse rat swarms are mindlessly hungry for flesh and aggressive; their bites carry filth fever.[1] Their hunger probably qualifies them as the Hungry Dead subgroup of the Walking Dead.

Corpse rat swarms can be encountered in Souragne.[2]
