Las Mariposas are a minor political party of the Wartorn Cluster domain Conquista. Its slogan is 'Work is work'.
Predominantly True Neutral in outlook, las Mariposas are basically a trade union for the domain's sex workers, who are trying to achieve sufficient political power to lobby for equal treatment under the law. Currently, the Conquistan sex industry profits from treating its workers as being 'eminently disposable', as it recruits from young people who migrate from the countryside to the cities with big dreams and very little in the way of skills or connections to help make them true.
It is no secret that the Butterfly Murders of 750 BC, 751 BC, 752 BC and 753 BC were a barely-disguised intimidation tactic, aimed at las Mariposas by political opponent los Ermanos del Cuchillo. The 754 BC Murders have at least reduced the scope of these killings, but they have not completely ended. In spite of this, las Mariposas struggles on.
Las Mariposas are tentatively allied with los Llenos de Protesta, and openly hostile towards Consejo de Padres and los Ermanos del Cuchillo.
