Los Ermanos del Cuchillo

Los Ermanos del Cuchillo are a minor political party of the domain Conquista in the Wartorn Cluster. Its slogan is 'All law is absolute'.

The party has a predominantly Lawful Evil outlook, and are fanatical adherents to both religious and secular law who have championed the unification of Church and State. While the party was once practically the trade union for los Hombres Valientes, Conquista's police force / standing army / secret police, its relations with los Hombres soured and fragmented under the reign of president James Johsson, who ordered attacks on Church property by los Hombres, and was further weakened by known los Ermanos-member Forton Builterman's coup. The party has managed to make up for the loss of income from Hombre Valiente donations and government contacts by developing strong 'business interests' in Conquista's sex industry.

In recent years, los Ermanos have been unsuccessfully trying to ally with both major parties Prosperidad and Supremacía. They are already strongly allied with the Church of the north cantón, and more tentatively with fellow political party Consejo de Padres. Based on their general alignment and strict adherence to both secular and church law, one might assume los Ermanos del Cuchillo are most closely allied with the Sungazers-sect. They are strongly opposed to political parties los Llenos de Protesta and las Mariposas.

It is no secret that the latter conflict has led to the Butterfly Murders of 750 BC, 751 BC, 752 BC and 753 BC, although los Ermanos have always denied involvement. Their denial might have been more believable if they had not made such a huge outcry at the Butterfly Murders of 754 BC, when minor party members and allied pimps were the ones found murdered in back alleys.
