Marta Talliers is a minor character from Black Crusade. The cousin of Leonera Talliers, Marta was a resident of Birne who had been accused of witchcraft that blighted the crops and livestock of the town. Leonera convinced Sir Diederic de Wyndt to argue for her innocence and investigate the matter before she was burnt at the stake. In reality, Marta really was a witch, though she did not put some evil witchcraft on Birne. Rather, it was a failure of the old pacts the founding families of Birne had made with the fey of the Cineris Forest. After Diederic discovered the truth and how it had been concealed from him, Diederic left the town and abandoned Marta to her fate.[1] Presumably she was burnt at the stake.
