The Hive Queen

The Hive Queen is a Marikith Queen and the darklord of Timor. Once human, she now leads the monstrous Marikith that infest the sewers beneath Paridon.
Background
First introduced in the game sourcebook Islands of Terror (Sourcebook) and later included in Domains of Dread, the exact details of the Hive Queen's past vary slightly between those two sources. However, what is held in common is that the Hive Queen was once a human princess born into the kingdom of Timor prior to its rendering as merely a set of sewers in the Grand Conjunction. The Hive Queen's mother, then queen of Timor, was running her kingdom into the ground financially to make her city a permanent testament to her own greatness. The young princess plotted the queen's death, and through a spell of arcane magic, assumed a gruesome visage that frightened her mother to death. Though Timor's queen was slain, the princess became cursed to remain the formerly illusory form, and she came to live in the sewers beneath Timor.[1][2]
During the Grand Conjunction, the city of Timor was lost to the Mists as Timor's underground was relocated to beneath Paridon in the Zherisia cluster.
