The Whispering Tyrant is an ancient lich of mythic power imprisoned in Gallowspire in Ustalav. A millennia ago, he conquered that land and managed to keep a stranglehold on it for approximately six centuries. In 100 BC, Ustalav would undergo a revolution that would eventually boot him from power.[1]
Legacy
The Whispering Tyrant was also an important figure in propagating the message of the Whispering Way. This message dictates that undeath is the highest form of existence, and that the living must be wiped out or transformed into undead.[2]
Besides the Whispering Way, the Tyrant left a mark that severely divides the country today: no clear royal family. The old ruling family that had started with Soividia Ustav was cmpletely massacred during the Tyrant's reign, leaving only distant relatives. The Ordranti Family is currently in charge of the throne, but their power is highly contested.[3]
More information about the Whispering Tyrant can be found in Rule of Fear and Mythic Realms, the latter of which has Pathfinder statistics for him.
