Chronology
- 180 BC: Jacques Renier brings his family here and takes leadership of the then hamlet of Mordentshire. After bringing commerce and prosperity, he eventually builds Gryphon Manor. Even later, the Reniers lose their influence on the town to newly arriving noble families.[1]
