The Relentless is the lair of Captain Pieter van Riese. It is a ship, sailing the Sea of Sorrows and dates back to his final voyage on the Primae Material Plane. In Ravenloft, it is has a terrifying, incorporeal form, but Captain van Riese can mentally force it to assume a mundane, corporeal state.[1]
At sea, Captain van Riese is the only one who crews the Relentless. Any sailors the captain has recruited disappear without a trace when the ship regains its normal, ghostly state.[1]
